A Long History - but Moving with the Times
In 2005, Thirsk Racecourse proudly
celebrated 150 years of racing on the course at Station Road in
Thirsk. Racing at Thirsk has been continuous apart from periods around the two
World Wars. Thirsk is - more then ever - a good choice for a day out
at the races, with high quality racing, good facilities (which are
constantly improved)
and attractive surroundings.
Thirsk is easily reached from all
directions on good roads and is easily accessible from most parts of
the North of England, making it a comfortable journey for coach
parties and a sensible venue for corporate or hospitality groups
arriving from widespread locations. ALL CAR PARKING IS FREE. We provide free transport from Thirsk Rail Station on Race Days. AND - with 6 Saturday meetings and
3 weekday evening fixtures, Thirsk is an ideal regular venue for the working racegoer.
