Final Leadership Board Results 2020

Daniel Tudhope continued his impressive form with another treble of winners to be crowned Top Jockey, with Tim Easterby taking David O’Meara to the wire with a winner in our final race to take the title.

Across the eight behind closed race meetings in 2020, Tudhope the Thirsk-based Scot notched nine winners, two seconds and nine thirds to take the top jockey crown at his home track. Impressively, six of those nine winners came in the final two meetings combining of two trebles.

Tim Easterby who trains at Great Habton, Malton, showed consistent good form with a winner at all but one race meeting and finishing strong by winning our final two races.

Rising star Harrison Shaw was crowned Top Apprentice, with four winners and three seconds. The apprentice attached to Karl Burke’s Spigot Lodge Stables at Middleham has gone from strength to strength despite having a rare allergy to horses.

We now wait for further news on our 2021 season and very much hope we can welcome the racing community and general public back to Thirsk when it is safe to do so.
