FAQ - Racing and events at Thirsk in 2021
What are the 2021 racing fixtures?
Our 2021 fixtures can be found here however, all scheduled sports fixtures remain subject to Government approval and the status of elite sport activity in light of the Covid-19 situation at the time.
Will crowds be back at Thirsk in 2021?
Following the the Prime Minister's announcement on 22nd February, attendances at sporting events may be permitted from 17th May 2021, at the earliest. This means that whilst we shall not be able to race with a crowd before 17th May, the good news is we may be able to host racegoers from this point onwards, subject to Government confirmation nearer the time.
We now await the detailed guidance from Government on exactly what operating capacities and restrictions will apply to race meetings from 17th May and, in due course, whether such restrictions may be further relaxed from 21st June, this being the Government’s own earliest projected ‘end-of-restrictions’ date.
When will 2021 tickets and hospitality be on sale?
Further details will be announced in due course. Once available the information will be published on the website. Regular sponsors and hospitality clientele will be contacted by the Racecourse directly regarding 2021. Yes, subject to ticket availability at the selected fixture. Should crowd restrictions dictate that some 2020 vouchers may not be redeemed in 2021 then such vouchers will carried forward and honoured in the 2022 season.
What about 2021 Annual Badges.
