Premier Enclosure

With the old Paddock Stand situated next to the Parade Ring being replaced over the next year, and a new Premier Enclosure grandstand due to be completed for the beginning of the 2027 Flat season.

 

2026 Premier Enclosure Facilities  

The following is a summary of the Premier Enclosure facilities which will be operated throughout the 2026 season:

THE PAVILION & CHERRY TREE LAWN (accessible access & loo facilities)

Ground Floor: The Cherry Tree Bar & Lawn

• • Full bar service
  • Buffet counter offering hot and cold sandwiches, snacks, confectionary, tea & coffee
  • Indoor seating and outdoor seating on the Cherry Tree Lawn
  • Big Screen viewing
  • Tote betting

 

First Floor: The Pavilion Bar & Balcony

• • Full bar service
  • Cold sandwiches, snacks, confectionary, tea & coffee
  • Indoor seating
  • Balcony viewing across the Paddock
  • Big Screen viewing

Cherry Tree Lawn ‘Pop-Up’ Bar (for Feature meetings)

• • Covered and open outdoor seating
  • Expanded lawn area
  • Full outdoor ‘pop-up’ bar service
  • Mobile catering unit offering hot ‘fast’ food, soft drinks, tea & coffee
  • Tote betting

 

THE PARADE RING ‘POP-UP’ LAWN BAR (accessible access)

Situated adjacent to the Pavilion & Cherry Tree Lawn, but closer to the Parade Ring, this Premier ‘Pop-Up’ bar will operate throughout the season featuring:

• Full bar service
• Covered seating (temporary structure – heated as necessary)
• Outdoor seating
• Big Screen viewing
• Tote courier betting
• Direct access to the Tote betting and other facilities in the Pavilion & Cherry Tree Lawn (as above)
• Very close proximity to the Parade Ring & Winner’s Enclosure

 

THE THEAKSTON WOOLPACK BAR (accessible access)

Situated at the eastern side of the Parade Ring, the Theakston Woolpack Bar will be operated on all but the quietest of racedays (as usual) and offers:

• Full bar service
• Indoor seating
• Outdoor ‘beer garden’ seating
• Tote betting facility
• SP Bookmakers (for Feature Meetings)
• Very close proximity to the Parade Ring & Winner’s Enclosure

 

THE STIRRUP ROOM & LAWN (accessible access & loo facilities)

Situated between the Pre-Parade Ring and the Parade Ring, the Stirrup Room is not only a charming bar with indoor and outdoor seating, but also the venue for one of our very popular Premier Enclosure Dining packages:

• Full bar service

THE HAMBLETON STAND (accessible access & loo facilities)

One of the most charming grandstands in the country, Thirsk’s Hambleton Stand is the centre point of the Premier Enclosure’s dining and hospitality offering and features:

• Ground Floor: The Hambleton Dining Room
• Traditional 2-course or 3-course Bistro-style fayre served to your table in our delightful dining room (see full details of the Hambleton Dining Package at net; either reserve online or call 01845 522276).
• Reserved table for the meeting
• Traditional Afternoon Tea service (optional extra)
• Tote betting facility.
• Dedicated loo facilities.

 

• First Floor: Thomas Lord ‘Dine & View’ Restaurant

• Traditional Afternoon Tea service (except for evening meetings).

• Second Floor: Private Hospitality Boxes (accessible access & loo facilities)
