Trainer Tim Easterby defends his 2020 Leading Trainer title
As we find ourselves in the early stages of July (how we do not know), we can also look at it as the 'half way house' of our 2021 racing calendar.
Like last season, it started off a little strange with just the essential party members allowed to attend, eg a few jockeys and horses... However, by 3rd June we had a taste of normality where we were finally able to swing open the gates and allow spectators back. This transformed a somewhat ghost town, back into a place of atmosphere, complete with laughter and making memories.
So far leading the way for the jockeys is David Allan with an impressive 6 wins under his belt already, biting at his heels we have Daniel Tudhope and Paul Hanagan just two wins behind him at four winners each. Cameron Noble has remained l eadingapprentice jockey since the beginning of the season, however after a triumphant day on 30th June for Oisin McSweeney with two-winners we are perhaps seeing the beginning of an exciting year in the apprentice standings.
Defending his 2020 Leading Trainer title, Tim Easterby is not allowing anyone to get within breathing distance of his runners fine form. Tim is currently sitting comfortably at the top of our leaderboard 3 wins ahead of our next top trainer Kevin Ryan. William Haggas settles in after that, but with lots of good racing still to come we are anticipating some changes.
The big question is, will Trainer Tim Easterby carry on this winning streak, or will someone else pip him to the post?Back to News
