Enclosures, Bars & Dining

We have three lovely enclosures to choose from and there are viewing platforms in all enclosures for disabled racegoers

The Premier Enclosure is the smartest enclosure and offers grandstand viewing and seating, as well as access to the Parade Ring, Winner's Enclosure and Finishing Line. This is the most prestigious enclosure and also offers restaurant dining options and lounge bars where a variety of snacks are available. Do please note that Gentlemen are required to wear a shirt with a collar, smart long trousers and shoes: jackets and ties are not mandatory, but are encouraged. The following items of dress will not be permitted - any sportswear, fancy dress, short trousers, ripped or torn garments, mottle-dyed denim, trainers, plimsolls, or any other items that, in the opinion of the management, are not in keeping with the Code or may cause offence to other racegoers. Anyone in breach of this dress code will be asked to leave the Premier Enclosure until such time as they are correctly dressed.

The Thomas Lord Suite' Dine & View Premier Restaurant offers sumptuous dining and fantastic views of the racing action. This Dine & View restaurant on the first floor of the Hambleton Stand is a welcome addition to Thirsk's culinary repertoire and sure to be a big hit with Premier Enclosure clientele. Annual Badge holders will receive an £12 reduction, per badge, on the Dine & View cost - in lieu of their pre-paid entry status - throughout 2017.

The Hambleton Dining Room: Thirsk's traditional silver-service, a la carte dining room, with old school charm, first-class service and wholesome Yorkshire Fayre. Situated on the ground floor of the Hambleton Stand, this dining room offers a walk-in service on the day or reservations can be made with Thirsk's award winning caterers, CGC Events, on tel. (0113) 287 6387.

The 'Shrimp & Stirrup' Premier Seafood Bar & Lawn: This fantastic Premier bar is situated on the ground floor of the Paddock Stand, offering a full bar service and seafood, with a lawned viewing area to the front on which to watch the racing action.

The Cherry Tree Bar & Lawn: Situated on the ground floor of the Pavilion and offering a full bar service, plus hot and cold food from the buffet. Why not try the new Cherry Tree Package on your next visit?

The Theakston Woolpack Inn & Garden: Situated adjacent to the Parade Ring and featuring Theakstons legendary hand-pulled real ale.

The Veuve Clicquot Owners & Trainers Bar: Situated between the Pre-Parade and Parade rings, offering a full bar service, sandwiches and snacks. This bar is reserved exclusively Owners and Trainers.

The Pavilion Annual Badge Holder's Bar: Overlooking the Paddock, with a good-sized balcony, this first floor bar offers a wonderful, exclusive facility for the use of Annual Badge holders.

Due to the popularity of the Premier Enclosure, we strongly recommend booking your choice of dining in advance, if applicable, as usually only a few tables are available on the day. Please contact our race day catering partner, CGC Events, on 0113 287 6387 to make a restaurant reservation in the Hambleton Rooms.

The Dine & View Premier Restaurant can be purchased online or by contacting the Racecourse Office on tel. (01845) 522276.
