Thirsk Racecourse is one of the finest in Yorkshire, set against a backdrop of beautiful open countryside with a rich horse racing heritage.
There are 16 days of racing scheduled at Thirsk for 2017, including six Saturdays, one Sunday and two evening fixtures. Thirsk is a summer, flat racecourse and racing takes place from April to September inclusive. During the winter we all go to the Seychelles for several months to sunbathe and scuba-dive - oh the joys of only working 16 days per year!
For 2017, we are continuing our popular tradition of ‘Spring Saturdays’, which take us through to our very enjoyable high summer fixtures, with the big day of the year being the fantastic Ladies' Day on Saturday 9th September.

THE RACE TRACK
The race track is a left-handed oval of about one and a quarter miles, with a six furlong chute in the home straight.
There is a fantastic view of the whole course from every enclosure, but those in the Premier Enclosure are closest to the finishing line. All enclosures have covered stands with ample bars, catering and betting facilities.
