From the south (A1), take the A168 at
Dishforth. After 6 miles take the B1448 to Thirsk. At the
mini-roundabout, turn left past Tesco and the racecourse is on the
right.
From the north (A1) follow signs for Thirsk.
Enter Thirsk from the west along the A61. The racecourse is on the left
about half a mile past the railway station.
From Teesside, turn off the A19 for Thirsk,
then go through the town centre, leaving on the A61 for Ripon. (Follow
any specific signs for race traffic). At the mini roundabout beyond the
town cente, turn right past Tesco and the racecourse is on your right.
From York (A19) go straight on at the first
roundabout approaching Thirsk, then left at the second roundabout,
through the town centre, as 3 (above).
From Scarborough (A170), keep straight on at the roundabout and
follow signs Ripon (A61) through the town centre as 3 (above).
FOLLOW ANY SPECIAL TRAFFIC/PARKING SIGNS FOR THIRSK
RACES.
Thirsk Station is half a mile from the course. There is a regular
service direct from Manchester, Leeds, York and Middlesbrough. Passengers
using East Coast Main Line services should change at York (from the
south) and Darlington or Northallerton (from the north).
